Dr. Foody is a military veteran who has served in both the United States
Navy and the United States Air Force. While serving in the U.S. Navy,
Dr. Foody was on active duty on the USS Iowa BB-61, in Norfolk, Virginia,
and served in the US Navy Reserves until 1989. He received his commission
as an Air Force Officer when he was selected for the Health Professions
Scholarship Program in the U.S. Air Force in 1989 and attended the Medical
College of Virginia.
Dr. Foody completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wright-Patterson
Air Force Base Medical Center, his GI fellowship at the Medical College
of Virginia before completing and additional year of training in Advanced
Therapeutic Endoscopy at the Medical University of South Carolina, in
Charleston, South Carolina.
In 2009 he retired from the military after 24 years of active duty service.
Dr. Foody and his family moved to Florida in 2010 from the San Antonio,
Texas where he was an Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Medicine,
Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition, at the University of Texas
Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Foody is a Gastroenterologist with Borland-Groover Clinic caring for
patients in St Augustine, Murabella/World Golf Village Area and Palm Coast.
