Mary Mantese Named Chief Nursing Officer

Flagler Hospital Names Mary Mantese Chief Nursing Officer

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (March 4, 2014) - Flagler Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Mantese to the role of Chief Nursing Officer. In this capacity, Mantese will provide strategic leadership and serve as the senior executive responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions within the hospital. Her focus is to ensure the highest quality of nursing care for our patients, while maximizing efficiency and always providing world-class, compassion-driven experiences.

Prior to joining Flagler Hospital in 2009, Mantese served in progressively responsible roles at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center and at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in St Louis Missouri. Leadership experience includes an extensive span of clinical and ancillary departments as well as a professional focus on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance excellence. These roles include Vice President, Interim Chief Operating Officer, and ultimately Administrator of Patient Care Services & Chief Nurse Executive.

Dr. Mantese holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University.
