    There are several avenues available to address your concerns.

    The most direct step is to speak to your physician, the head nurse, or a department director. The hospital administrative offices can help connect you to the appropriate person.

    Florida law requires that your health care provider or health care facility recognize your rights while you are receiving medical care and that you respect the health care provider's or health care facility's right to expect certain behavior on the part of patients.     Flagler Hospital Ethics Handbook

    There are times, in the course of caring for patients and their families, when ethical issues arise regarding care and/or treatment rendered. The Flagler Hospital Ethics Committee has been established to assist the clinical staff and our patients in resolving these issues.This handbook has been prepared by the Flagler Hospital Ethics Committee to provide staff and our community with easy access to information about the Committee. It also provides information regarding guidelines and policies that have been adopted by this institution for responding to ethical issues in the care of patients.
