    The latest imaging technology, neuro-certified nursing staff and less invasive surgical techniques are just a few of the advantages Flagler Hospital provides to its neurosurgery patients.  The neurosurgical team is led by highly recognized surgeon, Dr. Miguel Machado, who works hand-in-hand with neuro-certified nurses, neuro-radiologists, anesthesiologists, technologists and rehabilitation therapists - all specially trained in caring for patients with neurological disorders.  Common procedures include craniotomies for the treatment of brain injuries, a multitude of spinal surgeries and intracranial hemorrhages, as well as the removal of primary and metastatic brain tumors.
