Local resident and college professor Wanda Hall is a national tai chi champion -- and also a successful joint replacement patient. After having both knees replaced at Flagler Hospital, Wanda is still going strong.

"I have always been an active person. I enjoy swimming, yoga, dancing and tai chi. Slowly my life had shut down with pain in both my knees. Now I have my life back."

"From the moment I entered the doors of Flagler Hospital until they sent me on my way, it was an amazing journey of personalized, professional, friendly care."

"I want to take an opportunity to thank all who worked so hard to give me my life back. Starting with the instructors at my pre-education class, through the day of surgery when my transporter made me laugh at 6am, to the operating staff who spent time getting to know me, and Dr. Grimes who always answered all my questions with a calm confidence. The patient caterers provided great food; nursing staff, aids, housekeepers and physical therapists were all great. Even my room was beautiful with a view of a lovely garden."
