Flagler Hospital is a 335-bed acute-care hospital serving Northeast Florida. The hospital was the region's first to receive the ANCC Magnet hospital award and has been ranked among the top 5% in the nation for clinical excellence by HealthGrades for the last 7 consecutive years. Below are just some of our award-winning programs.

Bariatric Surgery - Led by nationally recognized bariatric surgeon, Dr. Robert Marema, Flagler Hospital's ASMBS Center of Excellence designated bariatric surgery program provides a full range of comprehensive services, including support groups, individual counseling, customized exercise plans and clinical support to every patient. Dr. Marema has performed more than 7,000 operations.

Cardiac Care - Our surgeons perform over 275 open-heart surgeries annually and consistently earn 5 stars for the treatment of heart attacks. The hospital also earned accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Interventional cardiology, medical cardiology, electro-physiology and thoracic and vascular procedures are also offered as part of this comprehensive care program.

Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery - Within Flagler's 12 fully digital operating room suites, physicians perform over 800 procedures per month, including neurosurgery, open-heart, oncology, orthopedic, plastic, spine, general and vascular surgeries.

Flagler's Maternity Services department was the only one in the region to earn 5 stars from HealthGrades for 2009/2010.Over 100 new babies begin life there each month.

The Oncology program earned the commission on Cancer's Outstanding Achievement award. Patients have access to the best treatment options and a multi-specialty team to assist the patient and their family during their illness.
