Tranquility Garden

The Clark & Alice Alger Tranquility Garden at UF Health Flagler Hospital

Located in the courtyard adjacent to the hospital’s main lobby, the Tranquility Garden opened January 23, 2009 thanks to a generous gift by Clark and Alice Alger. It provides a quiet and serene place for UF Health Flagler Hospital patients, families, visitors and employees to reflect, meditate and relax throughout the year. The garden is a place where a patient can sit for a while and relax outside of the four walls of a patient room while recovering from an illness; a family can sit and wait for a loved one to come out of surgery; and a hospital team member can find a restful retreat while on a break from work. The Tranquility Garden offers shade, along with beautiful colors and fragrances.

You can be a part of this legacy. The garden is funded by donations to UF Health St. Johns Foundation, and gifts designated for the Tranquility Garden will be used solely and specifically to sustain and enhance this beautiful place.

Commemorative brick pavers are available in two sizes:
4"x8" and 8"x8"

The 4" x 8" pavers are $300 each and can be personalized with up to 3 lines of text, 20 characters/line.

The 8" x 8" pavers are $500 each and can be personalized with up to 6 lines of text, 20 characters/line.

In addition, you will receive a miniature replica of your brick paver(s) as a representation and keepsake of the full-size pavers(s).
